Nokia introduces the Nokia 6788 - a Symbian device, Which is its first 3G TD-SCDMA phone in China. The 6788 features a 2.8-inch QVGA display and a 5 Megapixel camera with dual LED flash.

The Nokia 6788 runs on the Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 operating system and enables people to share the things that matter to them most. The Nokia 6788 features Chinese elements in its design, such as Chinese patterns on the back of the slide and battery cover.

With a wide range of integrated China Mobile applications, the Nokia 6788 marks a new level of collaboration with China Mobile and offers enriched experiences to China's 3G users. Nokia plans to introduce more TD-SCDMA phones in the near future, further boosting the development of this 3G standard in China."

TD-SCDMA is the Chinese equivalent of 3G in the United Kingdom and enables faster network speeds. To produce the mobile Nokia has collaborated with China Mobile, China’s largest mobile phone operator.
