Samsung F480

The Samsung F480 is a very nice mobile smartphone with cool featuring an operating system the UI known as TouchWiz, according to the Carphone Warehouse they are expecting this handset on 19th May 2008 and of course we will keep you posted.

The Samsung F480 is a tri-band device with HSDPA 7.2 Mbps support, it has a pretty cool 2.8″ touchscreen QVGA display which works well and a stunning 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus, stabilizer and even LED flash but what we like most of all is the fact that is has a slow motion and video editing capability.

Samsung also revealed the details about the battery of the handset - 1000 mAh of capacity, 3 hours of talk time and 300 hours of stand-by time. The dimensions have also been slightly updated to 98.4 x 55 x 11.6 mm and the weight has been fixed at 100.6 grams.

Also this second announcement hints of the fact that Samsung F480 is about to hit the shelves in the nearest future. In fact some online retailers are already accepting pre-orders. The rates are however rather high, starting at about 600-700 US dollars.

In case you need a quick memory refresh here are the most important features of Samsung F480. It is tri-band phone with HSDPA 7.2Mbps support, and an ample 2.8" touchscreen QVGA display. The camera counts the impressive 5 megapixels and comes with autofocus, power LED flash, image and video stabilization.

Of course, there is audio and video player with multiple file format support, as well as FM Radio with RDS. The impressive TouchWiz user interface and navigation are the final ingredients for making the classy performer.

Samsung takes pride in its upcoming release of its new 3G mobile, the Samsung SGH-F480. It has a built-in camera that is about 5 megapixels with 20 x digital zoom functions. If that's not enough to blow your mind, add the fact that the Samsung SGH-F480 has video capture and video player capabilities. This makes it equipped with a digital video zoom that can go up to 12 x. Aside from this; it has a 2nd internal camera, a built-in flash, and an auto-focus function. This is along with its capability to project image stabilization. You can take pictures and videos as often as you like since it has about 130 MB of phone memory. The F480's phonebook alone can store up to 1,000 contacts. Thus, if you need more room to store your videos, photos and other data, the Samsung SGH-F480 has an external memory card slot that can accommodate 1 MB up to 4 MB of storage capacity.

The Samsung SGH-F480 has a screen resolution of 240 by 432 pixels with an active TFT of 262,000 colors. You will see cute widgets that you can actually drag all over the screen. This is made possible by its TouchWiz UI technology that showcases Samsung F480 Back a full touch screen user interface. It is also equipped with the latest HSDPA, GPRS and EDGE. Furthermore, visual effects, wall papers and its 3GP or MPEG4 video formats are all easy to upload with its Bluetooth and USB compatibilities.

Browsing the internet is also very easy with its WAP v 2.0, xHTML and HTML capabilities. Aside from SMS, you can also communicate with anyone in the globe via MMS, Video Messaging, E-mail and Instant Messaging. Thus, with a one time charge of its Li-Ion battery, the Samsung F480 can last up to 3 hours of actual talk time and up to 300 hours of stand by time. Its video calling feature allows you to see the person on the other end of the line. Thus, it is also capable of mobile blogging and short range wireless connections.

The Samsung F480 is a small-sized fashion phone which is similar to the Samsung Armani, without the Armani casing. This cute 3G mobile can be held in the palm of your hands with its card sized feature. Imagine your credit card having a leather casing and full touch screen user interface.

The SGH-F480 has a 2.8 inch touch screen attribute. It weighs about 102 grams and its vitals would be 95.9 mm x 55 mm x 11.5 mm. This would be for its height, width and thickness respectively. Aside from this, it has voice memo and voice dial features. It also has both an MP3 player and a video player function.

Like other mobiles, it has an organizer attribute. This would include a calculator, notepad, and tasks page. This is along with its memo, calendar and alarm functions. Java games and polyphonic ringtones can also be downloaded easily.
