Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Rachael: The first Sony Ericsson Android smartphone is Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 (codenamed Rachael) codenamed “Rachael“, has got a big touchscreen display, and is built on Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon platform.

The full touch phone comes with an 8 megapixel autofocus camera, a 3.5mm jack and a standard miniUSB jack. The device is set to have a 4 inch touchscreen that will to come with WVGA resolution (800 x 480 pixels). The XPERIA Rachael phone is powered by the Qualcomm QSD 8250 Snapdragon platform that provides a 1GHz CPU and dedicated graphics acceleration. The connectivity options of the chipset are the Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G with HSDPA all onboard.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 will feature a 4-inch touchscreen display with the unusual resolution of 852 x 480 pixels. The 800 x 400 pixel resolution reported by Expansys is more likely a mistake as the screen aspect ratio is different. The 852 x 480 pixel one sounds more probable as confirmed by a leaked portrait video.

The XPERIA X10 also has an 8 megapixel autofocus snapper with LED flashlight and capability of shooting VGA videos at 30 fps. VGA video recording may not sound like much these days, but it will definitely be a first for an Android smartphone.

And the specs list goes on, of course. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 should also pack HSDPA, Wi-Fi and stereo Bluetooth support and a GPS receiver. On board is also a 3.5mm audio jack and a miniUSB port.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Rachael Specs – up to 1 GHz CPU, HD video decoding, 12mpx camera,GPS, broadcast TV and Wi-Fi support. Though it remains to be seen which of them make it into a new SE Android handset. Probably not all of them, since we already know that SE opted for a lower resolution – 8.1 megapixel camera on this phone.
